The JOOUST VLIR-IUC Project successfully concluded its Financial Year 3 (FY3) activities with a three-day workshop held at Kisumu Hotel from 20th to 22nd August 2025. The workshop brought together project team members, researchers, and stakeholders to validate annual reports, assess key achievements, and jointly shape the Year 4 budget and work plan.
The forum provided an opportunity for reflection on progress made in advancing research, capacity building, and community outreach under the JOOUST–VLIR-IUC partnership. Participants reviewed outputs from the thematic projects, discussed lessons learned, and identified areas requiring strengthened collaboration.
The successful conclusion of FY3 marks a significant milestone in the long-term VLIR-IUC collaboration, reaffirming the commitment of JOOUST and its partners to foster sustainable development through science, innovation, and community engagement.
