The JOOUST VLIR-IUC Sub-project III on Building Capacity for Research, Management and Control of Communicable and Non-communicable Diseases in the Lake Victoria Basin recently conducted a community outreach initiative focused on enhancing skills, knowledge, and attitudes towards the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Kisumu County. The activity brought together key stakeholders, including KMET, representatives from he County and Sub-county Governments, with the aim of Raising awareness and educating the community on NCDs , Promoting preventive practices, management of diabetes, hypertension, cervical cancer and healthy life choices.
