From 1st December 2024 to 6th December 2024, the JOOUST VLIR-IUC Project had the honor of hosting Prof. Arno Libotton, an Emeritus Professor of Educational Sciences and Teacher Education from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
Prof. Libotton is a distinguished scholar with a remarkable legacy in education. His extensive contributions to the field, supported by numerous citations, reflect his expertise as a promoter and coordinator of educational projects, including several initiatives funded by VLIR. His work has significantly advanced international collaboration, capacity building, and innovative practices in education.
At JOOUST, he continues to play an essential role as a member of the Doctoral Guidance Commission for Ms. Dorothy Gwada, a PhD student under the VLIR-IUC.
During his visit, Prof. Libotton shared his extensive research experience with faculty members from the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Informatics and Innovative Systems. His discussions and presentations provided valuable insights into innovative approaches to teaching, curriculum design, and the integration of technology in education, enriching the academic community at JOOUST.
